Ticker Symbols for Futures
Description
Ticker symbols for commodity futures are formed by a combination of the underlying symbol followed by the month code followed by one digit for the year. Here are some examples of commodity futures ticker symbols:
- BPU4 = British Pound, September 1994
- EDZ5 = Eurodollar Time Deposit, December 1995
- DMY = German Mark, Cash
- CF5 = Corn, January 1995
